One job, several audiences, and none of them want the same document
A client wants the specification. A subcontractor wants their package. A lender wants claims to date. Your office wants profit and loss by cost centre. It is all the same data, and SmarteBuild prints it the way each of them needs to read it.
Available on the Estimator plan and above

Reports live where their data lives
There is no central reports screen. The reports about your bill are in the Bill of Quantities; the ones about your orders are in Purchase Orders. That takes a moment to get used to, and makes sense once you do.
| You want | Look in |
|---|---|
| Estimate totals, the detailed bill, the specification | Bill of Quantities |
| Committed cost, orders by supplier | Purchase Orders |
| What you have been charged | Expenses |
| Claims raised and outstanding | Progress Claims |
| The variations schedule | Variations |
| The programme and the Gantt | Schedule |
| Defect lists and handover | Defects |
| The selections schedule | Colour Selection |
| Cost against budget for a job | Costing metrics on the Projects list |
Four audiences
The client
The specification, the selections schedule, the claim, the variation.
The subcontractor
Their package, their order, their part of the defect list.
The lender or QS
Contract sum, claims to date, cost to date.
Your own office
Profit and loss by item or cost centre, committed versus actual, the Excel export.
With prices, or without
The same bill goes to a client with prices and to a site supervisor without them. Choose the columns, choose the cost centre, and print — rather than maintaining two versions of the same document and hoping they stay in step.

Bill of Quantities
The costed spine of the job — items, rates, markups and margin
Purchase Orders
Raise orders straight from the BOQ and send them without re-keying
Progress Claims
Claim by percentage or by stage, variations included, and track payment
Projects & Costings
Contract stages, markups and the numbers behind every job
